Retrofit Interior Sprinkler System
R. A. James Construction has completed more than 100 sprinkler system and fire alarm retrofit projects. Retrofitting these systems in residential and multi-unit buildings often requires opening walls and ceilings to properly route piping and wiring while maintaining a clean, finished look.
The process includes carefully creating access points, installing fire protection piping and electrical conduits within wall and ceiling cavities, and constructing soffits as needed to house system components.
After installation and thorough testing, all drywall is replaced, seams are taped and finished, and affected areas are painted to blend seamlessly with the existing space. The end result is a fully code-compliant fire safety upgrade that improves occupant protection without compromising the interior’s aesthetic appeal.
